A Live Class in Taos, New Mexico

In this 2-day class we will learn the process of dyeing with plants from start to finish. We will ethically forage for plants in the lands of Northern New Mexico, mordant, and dye yarns and cloth in dye pots of our own making.
Cost: $250 +materials (Small yarn/cloth samples to dye are included in the class cost, materials fee applies to optional purchase of additional yarns to dye.)
Location: Vortex Yarns, 218A Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571
Time: 10am-4pm
$100 deposit required to hold your spot in this class. The rest will be due at the start of class on 9-23-19. (Click above to pay your deposit and grab your spot!!)
NOTE: Southwestern Dye Plants: Foraging and Making Colors and A Loom Made of Sticks: Backstrap Weaving Basics can be taken together for a discount. (This is 5 days of classes for $575 instead of $625). You will need to pay a $100 deposit to hold your spot in both classes, discount will be given when balance is due on the first day of class.
If you take both classes, you can, if you wish, dye yarn in the dyeing class with which you will create your weaving in the weaving class. (Both classes include a certain amount of yarn in their price, so students who take both will get to keep the yarn provided for both classes).
